Music

March 31, 2006

i have way too many cd's that i never listen to.  case in point: devendra banhart's cripple creek is languishing in my car. i hear aboot rad bands  from friends and think, yeah i'll buy that or this, but i have way too many cd's that i never listen to.

so anyway, i dug up the rapture's cd echoes. i bought it in charlottesville from plan nine back in may or something while i was living at yogaville.  i was hooked on the sister saviour remix on the dfa mix 2, but was disappointed with the whole cd after purchase. almost a year later it had me dancing in the kitchen.

anyhoo, like i said, i have way more music than i ever listen too, but mark you calendars

death by sexy drops april 11th.  new album from the eagles of death metal

i will acquire that album by purchase once it's out.  the video for "i want you so hard (the boy's bad news)" features cameos by jack black and dave grohl and is available here

act like you know.

day one post-whiskerino

i got some things done today.  i got some candy and potting soil for my students.  candy=jelly beans for the treat jar and the potting soil is for planting basil seeds tomorrow as the beginning of our science unit on plants.  also, herbs were mentioned in one story they read and sprouts in another.  i also picked up socks and a belt to go with my tux for my brother’s wedding on saturday and made dinner.

i still find myself checking the news page from time to time and find my eyes drifting to the comments column for new comments, even thought i know good and well that it’s closed.
